About Us Founded in the 1940s, the Council has represented homeowners and businesses for 80 years. Based on the premise that a collective, organized voice can make things happen, the Council serves the people of the community. Our goal is to ask, understand and act on issues that matter to you. Broadly speaking, we focus on three areas: safety, schools & education, and community development. Our goal is to help make View Ridge a beautiful, safe and welcoming environment for everyone who lives and works here. We meet on a quarterly basis in the Library at View Ridge Elementary School. These meetings are open to the public and usually feature a guest speaker, a report(s) on local issues and opportunities, and a general session for people to share what’s on their mind. Based on community feedback, the Council will work with the appropriate city, county and state leaders to address issues. We need an active and engaged community to help us know what to focus on. Please come to our meetings! We also plan and host the annual View Ridge Party in the Park – a great get together in the early Fall for people to come together, make new friends, see old ones, get kids introduced and generally bask in the glow of our community. We’re always looking for more volunteers – anything from event planning, to website/blog writing, to photography – you name it. Join us!
